Lavender's, The one stop potion shop.

A small cutesy game where you provide magical potions to a variety of strange characters.

Opal is a young alchemist who inherits her Aunt’s old potion shop just as magic has been freed from the labels of wickedness and spared from the punishment of the crown. Having spent years imprisoned for her craft, and now free, Opal is determined to breathe new life into her Aunt’s treasured memory by restoring her shop.

Lovely game! \(0.0)/

I absolutely loved the game, very fun. The characters left me wanting to see them again as they returned to the potion shop, each with their own little stories of their day. Ran great on Linux with wine-cx (CrossOver).

doesn't run on linux through wine big sad

Have you tried running it with Proton? It seems to work flawlessly with Proton-GE (installed through the AUR, but I'd imagine other packages work just as well).

If you're using the itch.io app, you can trick it into using Proton instead of wine when it runs programs.

-----------======[Extra details]======-----------

First start by creating an executable named "wine" in a local folder (e.g. ~/.local/bin/), and edit its contents to execute a basic script to run Proton-GE:

#!/bin/sh
proton-ge "$@"

Then create another executable (let's call it "itch_script") and have it launch itch, this time adding your new "wine" executable directory to the start of your Path:

#!/bin/sh
PATH="$HOME/.local/bin:$PATH" itch
**Make sure both of these newly created files are given executable permissions**

Finally, create a new itch.desktop file (placed in a location such as ~/.local/share/applications). You can copy the .desktop file that's naturally created when installing the itch client, but change the exec line to look at itch_script:

Exec="$HOME/.local/bin/itch_script"

You might also want to change the Name field from "itch" to something like "itch (Proton-GE)" to distinguish it from the other itch.desktop file (should you choose to keep it).

That's it! Then just launch the new .desktop file, and wherever itch would normally use wine, it should now use Proton-GE.

Note: I didn't come up with this idea, but rather found people discussing something similar and applying those same principles. I am also rather an amateur when it comes to bash scripting, so there is likely going to be a cleaner way of doing it. Ultimately this just works without issue for me, and I don't want to get bogged down in finding a better way.

Took me ages to find out that the arabic was not written in the correct order aha

Quite a wholesome and visually stunning game. The subtle, little details make this world feel so rich and compelling.

this game was so cool. the characters were so charming, i kept waiting for them to come back so i could learn more about them or just see them again. the gameplay was really fun aswell. music was a bop too.

I want to enjoy this game but I literally can only make the strength potion, because the shaken mechanic as far as I can tell is an illusion, i cant figure it out, ive pressed every button on my keyboard and shaken my mouse across the screen for an entire minute, in various different ways

sadly, the strength potion is boiled; you fill the potion all the way with ingredients, and you put the bottle over the boiler

okay thats the point. i can make strength. I literally cannot make the others, shaking isnt working.

absolute peak

The gameplay loop was super engaging and I love the multimedia aesthetic. Also if anyone asks me for another chariot potion I'll scream, I can never remember it.

something about this experience being limited possibly to less than 3 hours is holding me back from pressing the download button & caring abt playing through a browser though the presentation is tempting me to invest a bit all the while ,well wishes ig lol

accept the impermanence of things and have fun with short experiences :}

Played through the whole thing, very nicely done game! 2 npcs were an absolute pain to deal with though and I still have no idea how to use the magnifying glass, BUT ASIDES FROM THAT IT WAS NEAT!!
